Easy Summer Greek Burgers
July is quickly proving to be an incredibly busy month for us. We have several personal and work obligations, and are keeping busy with various home projects in the meantime. In effort to save money AND enjoy these warm months at home, we decided to challenge ourselves to eat our meals at home as much as we can this month.
One of our favorite ways to cook in the summer is on the grill. I would say that 5 out of 7 days a week (weather permitting) we are outside on the deck grilling whatever we can find in the fridge! I so much enjoy these relaxing nights on the deck with my little family.
Summer Greek Burgers
This summer I have been CRAVING hamburgers. After vacation, we came home to some spinach and feta cheese in the fridge that was nearing its expiration date. I googled the ingredients to get inspiration for how I can use them and came up with Summer Greek Burgers. They take less than 10 minutes to prepare and I promise they are hard to mess up!
Now, keep in mind I am NOT a food blogger by any means, so think of these measurements as more of suggestions. If you want to add more cheese than what I did, girl GO FOR IT. This recipe also contains 4 cups of spinach, which is a sneaky way to incorporate more greens into your summer BBQ.
We can’t forget about the burger toppings! Use pre-made tzaztiki sauce to save time, but if you have a great homemade recipe, that would work too! I melted some feta cheese on top, and added a tomato, but you can get creative here.
