Top 10 Things to Buy at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
There is no question that there is a ton of hype surrounding the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s a great sale if you are looking to invest in some good quality wardrobe staples that will last years, otherwise you might not be missing much!
Today I want to talk about the top 10 things I would recommend investing in during the sale. The majority of the items I am sharing today are items I have purchased in the past and wear often!

Top 10 Things to Buy at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
1 // barefoot dreams cardigans and blankets – this brand really does live up to the hype. Their loungewear is made of the most soft, cloud-like fabric, and it feels like a warm hug. I personally own both a cardigan and a blanket, and use both weekly. I also like to grab a few things to give as gifts throughout the year, think about your mom, MIL, sister, best friend, or a new mom!
2 // neutral flats for work + play – my all time favorite steve madden feather flat is included in this sale. This is a classic style that you will wear for years! There are several other neutral options available as well. I plan to grab these mules this year.
3 // SPANX faux leather leggings – If you can spend on one thing, make it these. I wear these leggings so often that I created a blog post showing you 14 ways to style them. They are compression style, so size up one if you are between sizes. They also come in petite and plus size, which I will link below.
4 // everyday jewelry – I am so excited that my everyday necklace and earrings are included in the sale. These are some of my most requested links – they make great gifts as well!
5 // Blondo weatherproof booties – I gave these boots their own category because I love them so much. Many of you purchased them last year when I shared them and I still get messages raving about them. They are waterproof and tough enough for northeast winters, plus they are stylish!
6 // outerwear for the family – some of the best deals in the sale will be on cold weather outerwear. I know it seems crazy to buy a parka in August, but if you have been hunting for a good quality coat, now is the time to grab it on sale.
7 // designer handbags – this is another category that is always deeply discounted. I purchased a Tory Burch bag 3 years ago that I still use to this day. If you have had a designer handbag on your wishlist, take advantage of grabbing them at up to 40% off!
8 // value beauty sets – I would only recommend grabbing something from this category if you already know you love the product. Personally, I have this living proof set on my wishlist this year. I use all three products in my daily routine and it is like getting 3 bottles of shampoo and a dry shampoo bottle for free!
9 // neutral fall booties – the boots in this sale are still on the pricey side even with the discount. However, I would recommend browsing this category because every year my most worn boots are from this sale. I have said this many times before, but I really do believe in investing in good footwear!
10 // free people tops – if you are a fan of the brand free people, I would recommend browsing for some fall sweaters and tops. One of my favorite fall sweaters (it’s still available here) was a NSALE purchase last year and was part of my fall capsule.
