The Friday Five

Does anyone else feel like this week flew by? I spent the first half of the week in Florida for a much needed escape from the cold NY weather. We had a 10 hour flight delay, but finally made it home to somewhat spring-like temperatures!

I am going to be spending the weekend getting prepared to start my new job on Monday as a pediatric nurse practitioner! For those of you who don’t follow along on Instagram, I was hired for the position back in early January. My start date seemed like it would never get here, and I am so excited to start this new chapter. Also, I am so nervous! I am leaving a bedside nursing job where I was so comfortable, and starting as a brand new provider in a clinic. If any nurses out there have any tips on how to make the hospital to office transition easy, send them my way!

The Friday Five

Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival // If you are a Disney fan, like me, then I highly recommend visiting during one of Epcot’s food and drink festivals. My sister and I ate our weight in food and drink this week, and it was totally worth it! Bonus, the topiaries are so beautiful!

New Balance Sneakers // These sneakers are like walking on clouds. I bought them during the recent DSW sale, and wore them to Disney this past week, while in Florida. I was on my feet for 13+ hours for three days and these babies didn’t bother my feet at all! Apparently, my judge of a good sneaker is how well they stand up to my Disney travels (remember the leopard ones from a couple months ago!).

NYX Butter Gloss // I have been wearing this gloss almost every day! It looks great alone or layered on top of a neutral lip. At $5, how can you beat that price? I have the shade Creme Brûlée.

Twill Jogger Pants // I shared these in my LOFT try on from yesterday. These pants are fantastic! So soft, drapey, and comfortable. As a girl who is used to wearing scrubs to work, I am looking forward to dressing these up for the office!

White Denim // I have been obsessing over finding the perfect pair of white denim, lately. I ordered several pairs and I am waiting for them to arrive so I can try them out. My ideal pair has no distressing, functional front pockets, and are high waisted. Is that so much to ask?
