Summer Workwear Essentials

Workwear is one of the most highly requested style topics on my blog. As I transitioned back to work full time in the office, I opted for my scrubs over my business casual favorites. Working in healthcare, that is what is working best for me most days. However, I still love a good workwear post and I know you guys do too! So today we are chatting summer workwear!

When it comes to summer workwear, I like to opt for lightweight fabrics that can be layered easily (hello air conditioning on full blast!). Most of the items I am sharing today are lightweight cotton and linen fabrics, which are great for keeping cool at the office during the summer. I also included a few products from my favorite sustainable fashion brands if you are looking to invest in a long lasting piece for your summer workwear wardrobe.

Personally, I loved wearing dresses to work during the warmer months. This classic black dress is made of a stretch linen fabric that will be great for summer. Layer a blazer over the top and you are good to go! If pants are more your style, my go to work pant is the Riviera Pant, the almondine color is currently sitting in my cart.

Flats are my go to show of choice for the office. I wish I was the person who could rock the heels all day, maybe someday! Recently I decided to invest in a pair of Rothy’s Pointe Flats. They have amazing reviews, are machine washable, and are made from recycled plastic bottles!

Lastly, we can’t forget about accessories! If I had to recommend investing in one item for work, it would be a quality tote bag that fits all the things.
