My Current Skincare Routine | Spring 2022
I have dealt with acne prone, problematic skin since I was a teenager. Once I hit adulthood, I continued to get frequent breakouts, and have been left with a lot of scarring, uneven skin tone, and discoloration. I have tried so many different skincare products throughout the years, but after having my first child I found that some of the products I was using were no longer effective. My skin texture changed completely postpartum, it went from oily and acne-prone to more dry and red with clogged pores. At that time, I reached out to my instagram community for help and many of you recommended trying Barefaced products.
After looking into Barefaced, I decided to do their skin quiz online and purchased a couple of products to try. I was blown away with the results almost immediately, so I then chose to get a skincare consultation with one of their nurses (who are skincare experts) to get a customized skincare regimen. It has been 6 months since I have committed to using Barefaced products, and I am so happy I made this investment in myself. Finally, in my thirties, I now have the confidence to go make-up free!
Before I share my current skincare routine, I do want to throw out that it isn’t cheap. This is an investment I was willing to make for myself, and I know that is not for everyone! As far as ‘beauty maintenance’ goes, I opt out of manicures, brows, lashes, botox, self tanner, etc. Some people prefer to spend on that, I spend on skincare! If you are looking to invest in a few products, I highly recommend any of the products that I will be sharing below.

The products below are listed in order of application.
Revision Skincare Brightening Facewash – This face wash was one of the first products I tried and was highly recommended by you! My skin was noticeably more radiant after using this for a month or so consistently. I started out using it every other day and now that my skin is used to it, I use this twice daily in the morning and night.
Barefaced Toning Pads II – This was the second product I purchased when I first discovered Barefaced! I now swear by these toning pads. They are packed with antioxidants and glycol acid to leave your skin clear, glowy and bright. I currently use these every other day once daily (primarily at night or in the morning if I am going make-up free). Whenever I start to get a breakout, these toning pads stop it before it gets bad and the spots basically disappear! If you don’t have any experience with acids, I would recommend starting with the original Toning pads, which have a milder formula.
Barefaced Liquid Gold Vitamin C Serum – This serum helps repair UV damage, boots collagen production and is anti-aging. I love that this one doesn’t have a funny smell and it isn’t super sticky like other Vitamin C serums that I have tried. Vitamin C is great for achieving the soft, glowy look! I use this twice daily in the morning and night.
Barefaced Brightening Serum – This serum has worked wonders for my acne scarring and uneven skin tone. I use it twice a day in the morning and night.
Barefaced Overachiever Serum – This serum literally does it all – hence the name! If I had to recommend one serum to invest in, it would be this one. It reduces redness, hydrates, stimulates cell turnover, targets fine lines, boosts collagan production, and minimizes pores. Seriously, this product does EVERYTHING. I use this serum twice daily in the morning and night.
Barefaced Tinted SPF – I have heard 100 times that if you aren’t using SPF, then what is the point in investing in skincare. I use this tinted one, which gives a nice glow and is SPF 50. I use this once daily in the morning.
Colorescience Total Eye Treatment with SPF – this product is amazing for dark circles under the eyes! It has a slight tint to it to help with color correcting so I really love this for days when I don’t want to wear concealer.
Barefaced Hydrating Lotion – I use swap out my SPF for this moisturizer at night before bed. It is super lightweight, but ultra hydrating. I had a facial done a couple of month ago, and the esthetician was impressed with how hydrated my skin was in the dead of NY winter. I have this lotion to thank for that!

So there you have it, my current skincare routine! Again, I know these products are pricey, but a little goes a long way. I have only replaced them once in 6 months! Also, remember that skincare and beauty are so individualized and personal, we all have different preferences and skin types. What works for me, may not work for you and that is okay! If you are new to Barefaced, I highly recommend starting with their FREE skin care quiz to get a better idea on what products may be helpful to you. I do receive a small commission if you use my code ‘KMM10’ for 10% off your first order, and as always, I appreciate your support!
