My Favorite Affordable Shorts for Summer
Shorts and I have come a long way over the years. If you have been here for a while, you know that I am a self proclaimed shorts hater. I would much rather be wearing a dress, skirt, or lightweight pants during the spring and summer months. Shorts have always just felt so constricting and uncomfortable to me. Many of have messaged me over the years shocked regarding my stance on this. Well, you will be pleased to know that over the past 2 years my shorts collection has grown exponentially. Today I am sharing my favorite shorts for summer, all of which are super affordable!
My Favorite Shorts for Summer
Madewell Perfect Short // These are the shorts version of my favorite Madewell Perfect Vintage Jean. I love the vintage canvas wash, which is a really nice off-white/ivory color. I always size down in Madwell and did the same with these shorts and the fit was great. These shorts are currently on sale and stocked in most sizes!
Elastic Waist Linen Shorts // I love a good summer linen! These shorts are lightweight, super comfortable and a great modest length. The exact color that I am wearing here is sold out, but here is a similar in stock option.
Patterned Linen Blend Shorts // These are great for anyone who wants a low maintenance linen blend short! I accidentally washed and machine dried mine (I typically air dry). They were seemingly unaffected and did not require any steaming/ironing. I thought the print on these was really nice, and it is still in my neutral comfort zone. Also, you cannot beat the price on these (under $20!). The fit is true to size!
Abercrombie Mom Short // these were the shorts that turned me from a shorts hater, to a shorts fan (although I still prefer my dresses!). These shorts are a true classic denim and come in a variety of washes, rises, lengths, and they offer a curve love fit in most styles. There are a lot of options for all our different preferences, which is great! I personally wear the curve love style, and would recommend this to anyone who has the problem with ‘gapping’ at the waist. The curve love style has a more tapered waist and is more roomy in the hip. I own these in 4 washes and prefer the 4 inch length. Fit is true to size, keep in mind they don’t have too much stretch!
