My Clean Skincare Routine
Sharing something a little different today, my clean skincare routine! Since I became pregnant, I have become more aware of the beauty and skincare products that I have been using daily. I have finally found a few favorites that are non toxic AND effective. All the products I am sharing with you are pregnancy safe and EWG certified. Keep in mind I am NOT a skincare or beauty guru by any means, but if you are interested in transitioning to clean or pregnancy safe skincare then keep reading to hear more about my clean skincare routine!
Clean Skincare Routine
Biossance squalane + probiotic gel moisturizer // I use this in the morning right after my shower. It has been great for helping calm the redness in my skin that has been occurring since I became pregnancy (hormones!). The probiotic helps balance complexion! It is very lightweight, but also effectively moisturizing, and doesn’t feel oily under my makeup.
I have also used the Biossance squalane + omega repair cream in the past, which is a richer moisturizer great for nighttime application.
Biossance squalane + marine eye cream // this eye cream is my favorite from this list! I have been using this in the morning for about 1 year now, and recently started using it at night since becoming pregnant (my other one wasn’t as clean). I have noticed a visible improvement in the firmness of my under eyes since using this. Also it is very lightweight, but super moisturizing.
Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil // Improves skin tone and texture, while hydrating and brighting the skin. I started using this recently since my other Vitamin C serum was not pregnancy friendly. I was hesitant at first about using an oil in the morning, but for an oil it is not greasy at all. I use 1-2 drops and pat into my skin after using moisturizer.
If you are looking for nighttime serums, I would also suggest the Biossance squalane + 10% lactic acid resurfacing night serum, which is a gentle exfoliant and helps improve dullness and skin texture. I have used this one in the past and really enjoyed it!
Another serum I am interested in trying eventually is the Biossance Squalane + Phyto-retinol alternative. It is made with a plant based retinol alternative that helps with fine lines and wrinkles. This is something I am bookmarking for once the baby is born!
Biossance Squalane + Tea Tree Detox Mask // helps draw out impurities in the skin without dehydrating the skin. I use this as a spot treatment, or in my T-zone and my skin always feels hydrated and smooth after! I love that it does not leave your skin feeling ‘tight’ like most detox masks.
Here are some gift set options of the products mentioned incase you are not ready to splurge for full price!
