Budget Friendly Winter Capsule Wardrobe
Hello, January! Another holiday season is behind us and here in NY we are gearing up for the rest of winter. We still have a long way to go in the northeast! If you live in a milder climate (jealous) you may not be able to relate, but I know many of you are in a similar boat. Post-holiday fashion in a cold climate can be frustrating. Today, I have put together a budget friendly winter capsule wardrobe that hopefully will help you stay warm and feel put together!
This winter capsule wardrobe is geared toward casual style, as that is what is fitting my lifestyle at the moment. Keep in mind that these capsule wardrobe posts are suggestions, by no means do you need to go out and buy the latest cream colored cardigan. The one you already have will work just fine!
Keep reading to see the items I included in my 2022 Budget Friendly Winter Capsule Wardrobe
Faux Fur Lined Military Parka || this coat is always my top recommendation for cold weather gear! It has kept me warm for 3 years now in NY!
Cloud Sherpa Vest || an outerwear option for my mild climate friends ๐
Oversized Waffle Crewneck Sweatshirt || aerie has the best cozy sweatshirts!
Legging Friendly Cardigan || the cozier the better, for me!
Cable Knit Mock Neck Sweater || highly recommend having a go to neutral sweater in your wardrobe!
Oversized Turtleneck Sweater || perfect length for denim or leggings!
Long Sleeve Tee || this is my all time favorite long sleeve tee – it is made of modal which makes it super soft. It also holds up great in the wash!
Ribbed Turtleneck Crop Tee || a classic black turtleneck will always be in style!
Rib-knit Long Sleeve Maxi Dress || for those days when you want to feel a little fancier ๐
Dark Wash Denim || most of you probably have a pair in your closet already!
Vintage Wash Black Denim || I love the worn in look of these!
Faux Leather Leggings || a tried and true classic! Go up one size and get the petite size if you are under 5’3″
High Waisted Jogger Sweatpants || my winter wardrobe is not complete without a good pair of cozy sweatpants!
Neutral Fringed Scarf || Abercrombie scarves hold up so well! I have a similar one that I wear year after year.
Cognac Crossbody || Not exactly the most budget friendly, but I can’t recommend it enough. The leather wears so well over time and it goes with every outfit!
Black Lug Sole Chelsea Boot || these were a new addition to my closet this winter and I am so glad I purchased them. The thicker sole has been great for winter so far!
Black Heeled Ankle Bootie || any neutral bootie would work here!
Athleisure Sneakers || I chose a darker sneaker here because…dirty snow and slush. White is not ideal for northeast winters!
