Our Favorite Big Ticket Toys
Our toy talk continues! Today I am sharing all of our favorite big ticket toys. These are some of our favorite larger toys in our home. Some are more pricey, but some are just…big! There are plenty of toy options on this list under $100. These toys would all be perfect for a shared gift for siblings. If you are looking for a flashier gift or a toy that will ‘make a splash’ for a holiday or birthday, then you have come to the right place!
While you are here, be sure to check out our other favorite toys for babies and toddlers!
Our Favorite Big Ticket Toys
Wooden Climber Set – We bought this last year for Kennedy for her 2nd birthday. It’s excellent quality and well loved by both of our children!
The Nugget Couch – The Nugget Couch was well worth the hype for us! We use it as a couch, fort, slide, ladder, pretend bed, etc. etc. There is some talk that you can’t do much with ‘just one’, but it gets PLENTY of use in our house.
IKEA DUKTIG Kitchen – I just love this kitchen, it is affordable, well made, and minimalist. Kennedy plays with this multiple times per week, if not daily.
IKEA FLISAT Sensory Table – This table got a LOT of use last winter when we were stuck inside. Another simple, functional item from IKEA. We also purchased two TROFAST bins (the table itself does not come with any). This table is also durable enough for us to use it as a makeshift kid kitchen table, just make sure you wipe it down regularly!
Pottery Barn Anywhere Chair – Not really a ‘toy’, but a classic kid item. we received this for Kennedy as a gift, and she loves it! She loves the idea of having ‘her own’ chair. The covers are washable and you can personalize them!
Tonies Box – If you are looking for a screen free toy to use during quiet time that has some novelty, I highly recommend the Tonies Box! Kennedy typically uses this while doing another simultaneously, such as coloring, playing with another quiet toy. There are so many great characters, we will add to her collection this year by getting one for her stocking
Little Tikes Bounce House – We grabbed this for the kids as their shared gift this year. So many of you swear by this in the winter months! We plan to set it up in our basement to help the kids get out some energy on days we can’t go outside.
Tunnel – I put this on the list as it’s a ‘big’ item, but it’s actually super low cost. We love our tunnel and often combine it with The Nugget Couch and the Wooden Climber Set to make an obstacle course!
Lovevery Play Kits – I will forever sing the praises of Lovevery. We are going on 3 years of using their playkits and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon. Hands down, these are the highest quality, most played with toys in our home. They are super engaging, easy to clean, easy to store, and grow SO WELL with kids. I love that they are open ended so my kids can play with them together (or apart) in different ways! You can select a play kit for any child between the ages of 0-4 years, they would make a wonderful gift.
Airfort – We don’t actually own this one ourselves, but I have purchased this a few times for gifts. It has amazing reviews and I have gotten great feedback about how much kids love this. Another fun indoor toy for the colder months!
